Love and 2020 Vision

I sat across the dinner table from her as she proceeded to vent about how when we focus on the negative and corruption in politics we create more of this.  I answered, “yes, and we need to be grounded in reality so we can see what is being exposed.”

She answered with how it’s all about belief and we create what we focus on and how clearly our beliefs differ, but she chooses to focus on the positive and what she wants to create.

As she got up from the table, she pulled her mask up over her face and nose.  The conflicting evidence of the efficacy of masking made her the only person, that day, to feel the need to wear a mask to our gathering….

Later as she sat at the table singing along with John and Paul about how Love is All We Need, I reflected upon what love really is.

Love is a complex thing to define.  If I see your partner out on the town with another, is it more loving to tell you so that you are informed of the betrayal?  Or, is it more loving to not tell you so that your feelings are not hurt and you may remain in idealism about the relationship?  Love is a valid pursuit but it must be grounded in reality.  If I never tell you about the betrayal that I witnessed because of my love for you, you will likely turn against me when you find out that I knew before you did and could have saved you from several more years of being the patsy to this unscrupulous partner. This partner whose definition of love is not one that includes respect for you.  And how, now, you see me as the same type of person who does not respect you enough to love you enough to be honest with you.

I have spoken of the year 2020 as being the year of perfect vision.  So many things are being exposed.  So many things are having the light of investigation shined upon them.  A large amount of society is demonizing the year 2020 as the culprit and calling it the ‘worst year of their life.’  When we don’t want to look at reality and wish to remain in idealism we do see clear vision as a bad thing.  Clear vision and light call so much attention to what’s in the dark corners that we can’t help but see them well enough to finally recognize them.  This can sometimes be painful.

There is much to manifestation through our thoughts and our actions.  Many people spend their entire lives teaching and speaking about this gift of humanity.  Don’t throw this ‘baby out with the bath water’ of this writing.

There is also much to the need of seeing what it being exposed so that we can heal from the betrayals upon humanity.  If I have an abscess and choose to not look at it because I won’t drop into the belief that there is the possibility of an illness on my body, that abscess will grow until it bursts on its own.  Then, when the real possibility of deeper infection sets in in a way that may affect the limb that the abscess is on and if not addressed can even make my body septic enough for me to die… Is this a belief, or a reality?  I can stand here all day and tell you that I am fine and fully healthy and that that abscess is just part of your belief system and I choose to not believe in it.  The reality is in what power is behind this statement.

Whatever your belief might be, I also believe that with the gifts of energetic healing there is the real possibility that the abscess can be healed through the power of love and the laying on of hands.

But even to lay hands upon the abscess, the abscess must first be looked upon.  It must be recognized as a place that requires some attention for healing.  The process that one takes to address the abscess and to heal the abscess is then the choice of the person who has seen the abscess and recognized its existence.  But first it must be looked at.  It must be seen for what it is.

When the woman at the beginning of my story refused to acknowledge the possibility of political corruption (we (the rest of us at the table) were not even speaking party specific, we were speaking to the systemic corruption) and called it a belief, she refused to look at the abscess that needs some attention.  She refused to look at what the light is exposing.

In contrast, when she chose to wear a mask at the gathering, no one judged her for her actions when she felt she needed to protect herself and the rest of us.  This act was one in which she choose based upon her conscience regarding the health issues of our time.  An act of love.  She had chosen to look at the abscess and to take actions rather than just remaining in a belief that never looked at what is being exposed. She chose to see with her 2020 vision.

Can you see the duality?  This duality is prevalent in our world.  That is why I call 2020 the year of perfect vision.  We are being shaken out of our idealism and desire to turn a blind eye to the many things that are being exposed.  The challenge is for us to step into that clear vision with child-like curiosity so that we can really see what has been hidden in the dark corners that are being lit up right now.

By now I hope you know that I believe in your Divine Right to Health.  Your Divine Right to Health is fraught with personal responsibility as well.  One cannot ignore the abscesses and believe oneself into right relationship with the body.  One must get to know the body and all that impacts it in its beautiful special way of working.  We are not a machine that can be diagnosed the same as every body else.  We are unique and precious and special and deserve to be loved with openness and kindness and recognition of each of our individualities.

Love is complex and must be steeped in reality and sometimes calls for tough love by showing others the abscess that requires some attention.  Love is 2020 vision.

“If we are busy affirming the light while turning a blind eye towards the darkness and it’s operations, we are unwittingly feeding and giving free reign to the powers of darkness in our avoidance. We are asked by this critical time in our history to come to terms with the darkness….” Paul Levy.

 Blessings and love to you.
